bobl, the wind symphony from the Basle area (Switzerland), founded by its conductors Bruno Martin and Philipp Wagner in 1987, feels at home everywhere in the world. bobl has already received several international prizes and awards. bobl’s musical range consists largely of ambitious, original contemporary pieces. In addition, bobl performs well-known pieces written by composers from the last century.

Bruno Martin
Born in 1965 in Basle, Bruno Martin received his conducting and teaching degrees (trumpet) in 1989. He presently conducts the Musikkorps Birsfelden and teaches trumpet.

Philipp Wagner
Philipp Wagner was born in 1965 in Basle. He also received his conducting and teaching degrees (trumpet) in 1989 and is currently music instructor for the Swiss Army Bands and conducts the Community Band of Basle and their pops orchestra.
